Work on the Flintshire section was reported to start in August 2025, with road closures and lane restrictions expected over around 17 months.
Construction of the Flintshire section of the HyNet carbon pipeline was reported to begin in August 2025 at Mancot, Aston Hill, Ewloe, the edge of Northop Hall and Flint Mountain. Road closures and lane restrictions were expected over the following 17 months, including roadworks on Chester Road East.
Why it matters for contractors
The route runs through the same corridor as Dee View and Mount Pool, which means short commutes for crews, and some local traffic planning for everyone else. Project wide, around 6,000 jobs were reported.
